Each piece of Pipestone is hand cut, carved, shaped, filed, sanded with 5 different grits of sandpaper then buffed to a high shine with a honey beeswax. Some are garnished with buffalo horn or bone haipipes with silver spacers and glass beads. All pieces have their own personality, no two stones are ever alike.
Turtleshell Medicine bags. All handmade and no glue of any kind is used. Drilled, stiched and beaded, these take many, many hours to put together. The small ones have tobacco sewn into them (seen in the first picture).
Ceremonial Turtleshell Rattles. All have Buckshot, Stones, Tobacco, Sage, Sweetgrass and Cedar. Depending on the medicine needed for ceremonies, others have things like Bear root, Bitter root and other sacred Herbs or articles. These are hand drilled, stiched and beaded, no glue is used.
